The big picture, for every family
Every family is invited to the fall Parent Symposium. We walk through the season, the apps, fees, and uniforms for the whole room, and uniform sizes can be adjusted afterward. Your coach will send the date and location.
Questions about your own player, account, or team are answered one-on-one, not during the symposium. Send those to your head coach or to [email protected], and we'll follow up with you directly.
From offer letter to first practice
Every family at every location and age goes through the same steps. Your offer letter has your team's total, your monthly amount, and your commitment date.
Register through your team's link
The registration link is in your offer letter. Registration and payments run through MySportsDriver. You'll set your payment plan here.
Pay the $500 deposit
After registering, you can sign in to MySportsDriver any time to pay or check your balance. Your roster spot is secured once the $500 deposit (plus processing) is complete. The rest is split into up to six monthly installments that you choose at registration. Fewer installments make each payment larger but don't change the total.
Enter uniform sizes
Sizing is due when you register. If something doesn't fit, sizes can be adjusted after the Parent Symposium.
Send a birth certificate
Email a scanned copy to your coach. A raised seal is not required.
Confirm your spot
Each offer letter lists a commitment date. Confirm by then to hold the spot.

Practices begin
Teams practice twice a week through the offseason and the regular season, at your location's USA Prime Michigan training center.

Families use three apps during the season. If you only remember one thing: money is MySportsDriver, messages are LeagueApps, games are GameChanger.
MySportsDriver
Registration, your payment plan, your balance, and fundraising credits.
Register with the link in your offer letter. After that, sign in any time to pay or check your balance. It's the only way to pay player fees, and MySportsDriver adds its own processing fee at checkout. Payments carried over from LeagueApps show in your MySportsDriver balance.

How your coach talks to your family. Team messages, the schedule, and events.

A year-round program, not a season
Every team, at every age, trains with the same coaching, technology, and planning. Player development is led by Greg Fettes and Dan Cimini, with 3PD Performance powering the pitching and throwing program.
Measured
TrackMan and Rapsodo profiles and metric days, so players and parents can see real progress instead of guessing.
Planned
Dedicated instructors and written off-season practice plans, plus an individualized nutrition plan.
Stronger
A full-time strength and conditioning coach, and 2SP training twice a week for 12U and up starting in November.
Food is equipment
Our Athlete Fueling Guide covers 7U through 18U, baseball and softball. The goal is fuel first, growth second, size third. The short version is below; the full guide is in the library.
The Prime Plate: four things on every meal
Use your player's own hand, not a coach's. A 9U palm is the right amount of chicken for a 9U player, and the portions grow as they do.
Game day, hour by hour
For a 7 a.m. first pitch, eat something small 60–90 minutes out. Playing on nothing is worse than a small breakfast.
The tournament cooler
- Sandwiches or wraps made the night before
- Bagels, tortillas, pretzels, crackers
- Bananas, grapes, orange slices, melon
- String cheese, jerky, hard-boiled eggs
- Applesauce and yogurt pouches
- Chocolate milk for after games
- Frozen water bottles to chill the cooler
- Sports drink or electrolyte mix for hot days
Perishables shouldn't sit out more than two hours, or one hour above 90°F. Keep the cooler closed and in the shade.

If a player isn't using the bathroom every few hours on a tournament day, they aren't drinking enough. Watch catchers in full gear closely in July.
Our policy on supplements
- Energy drinks: not permitted in our dugouts, at any age.
- Caffeine: none under 12; about 100 mg a day at most for ages 12–18.
- Creatine: not advised under 18.
- Protein powders: not necessary for most players; real food does more.
Any supplement decision for a minor goes through a parent and a physician. No coach or trainer should be recommending products. High school players: a tainted supplement can cost NCAA eligibility.
Recruiting
Griffin Green leads recruiting for every 14U–18U team, and every high school family gets dedicated one-on-one recruiting time with him each offseason. The full packets for baseball and softball are in the library.
By grade
What changed recently
- Opted-in D1 programs now cap rosters at 34, and scholarships can be funded up to a full ride.
- D1 walk-on spots have mostly closed. Build a real plan at D2, D3, NAIA, or JUCO alongside D1.
- D1 moved to an age-based eligibility clock in 2026. Talk to Griffin before any reclassification or prep year.
- NCAA D1 core-course GPA minimum is 2.3; D2 is 2.2. SAT and ACT are no longer required for NCAA eligibility.

How things work
The rules that come up most, in plain terms. Your registration agreement and the documents in the library are the governing versions.
Fees and payments
- $500 deposit (plus processing) confirms enrollment.
- The balance is split into up to six monthly installments, set at registration.
- Flexible plans are available on request, subject to director approval.
- Payments can only be made through MySportsDriver, by ACH or card. No cash, checks, Venmo, or other apps.
- MySportsDriver charges its own admin processing fee on every payment. USA Prime Michigan doesn't set that fee, doesn't receive it, and can't waive or change it.
- Player fees are non-refundable once the season commitment is made.
Communication
- Coaches share schedules, locations, and times as early as possible, and changes the moment they know.
- Coaches reply to families within 24 hours as a rule.
- Team communication runs through LeagueApps and other approved group channels.
- Questions about the team or organization go to your Area Director first.
The 24-hour rule
- No playing-time conversations during or right after a game.
- Wait 24 hours after a game, then reach out to your coach.
- Coaches respond to concerns within 24 to 48 hours.
- Anything unresolved goes to the Area Director.
Player safety
- Every coach has current SafeSport training, a background check, and USA Baseball certification. An expired credential means suspension until it's renewed.
- Coaches keep interactions observable and never privately message minors. Messages go team-wide or include a parent.
- Coaches never share hotel rooms with players.
- Player photos and video are used only with parental consent.
Raising money toward your fees
Fundraising is completely optional and has no bearing on playing time, roster spots, or evaluation. It exists because travel ball is expensive and some families would rather put in a few hours than write a bigger check.
Sponsorships and personal contributions
- Everyone pays through the USA Prime fundraising link. The person paying covers the roughly 5% processing, so 100% reaches your account.
- Ask every contributor to type your player's full name in the donor information box. That's how the credit finds your account.
- Credit posts in MySportsDriver within 10 business days.
- Anything involving a business goes directly to Michael, including their logo file.
Team-run fundraisers
- Raffles, 50/50s, clinics, events, restaurant nights, and product sales are run and banked by the team.
- USA Prime doesn't hold that money while it runs.
- When it's finished, the net total comes to USA Prime in one payment with a short accounting, and we apply it as credit.
- No player under 16 solicits alone, and no door-to-door without a parent.
Uniforms, apparel, and the building
Uniforms
- The package is included: three jerseys, two pants, a t-shirt, shorts, a long-sleeve shirt, and a helmet decal.
- Sizes are due at registration and can be adjusted after the Parent Symposium.
- Game jerseys, pants, and caps carry no sponsor logos.
- Spirit wear is available through our website.
Training centers
- Your location's training center is your team's training home, with 24/7 access.
- Families also get access to the Waterford and Shelby Township centers as availability allows.

- Energy drinks aren't allowed in our dugouts.
